About Guernsey

Guernsey is located in the Gulf of St Malo, 60 miles south west of England and about 30 miles west of northern France.

A wide range of funds are administered from Guernsey including hedge funds, funds of hedge funds, real estate funds and private equity funds. In March 2009 statistics issued by the Guernsey Financial Services Commission reported a total of £175.9bn funds under administration in the Island.

Guernsey also appears on the Organisation of Economic Cooperation and Development 'White List' which details the jurisdictions which have implemented internationally agreed standards of tax cooperation. The Guernsey Financial Services Commission regulates the Island's finance industry.
