Applicable Regulation

The activities of the Aztec Group are regulated by the following regulatory authorities in each of the jurisdictions in which it provides fund administration services:

  • - in Guernsey, by the Guernsey Financial Services Commission under The Protection of Investors (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 1987, as amended, and under The Regulation of Fiduciaries, Administration Businesses and Company Directors, etc. (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2000, as amended.
  • - in Jersey, by the Jersey Financial Services Commission in the conduct of fund services and trust company business under the Financial Services (Jersey) Law 1998. This law imposes Codes of Practice by which we conduct our business relationships, and include minimum capital adequacy and professional indemnity insurance obligations.
  • - in Luxembourg, by the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier under the December 2002 Law relating to collective investment (2002 Law). Certain types of fund (including pension funds and institutional funds) that are regulated by specific legislation continue to be subject to that legislation.

  • - in UK, Aztec Financial Services (UK) Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority as an investment management firm.  FSA authorisation can be checked on the FSA’s Register at www.fsa.gov.uk/register

  1. Public Areas

    When using the public areas of this site you are not required to provide us with any personal information and we do not monitor or collect any personally identifiable information from you on your use of the public portions of this site. We may track the number of users who visit areas of the site, but this tracking will not identify you.

    From time to time we will create registration forms which will ask you to voluntarily provide us with certain personally identifiable data, such as your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address. This information will only be used in respect of the event or information service to which the particular form relates. We will not sell or transfer any information that you supply to any third party. The information which we collect will be handled in accordance with the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2005.

    By using the contact details collected at registration we may periodically send you information about the Aztec Group. If you wish to be removed from any Aztec Group data list at any time after registration please e-mail the enquiries desk (address below). Upon such a request, we will remove you (and all your personal information) from our database. This may however affect our ability to offer you some of our services.

    We will not pass your details to any external organisation or third party. The Aztec Group reserves the right to access and disclose individually identifiable information to comply with applicable laws and lawful government requests, to operate its systems or to protect itself or its users.

    We have strict security and confidentiality procedures covering the storage and disclosure of your information in order to safeguard it, prevent unauthorised access and to comply with the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2005 and the Electronic Communications (Jersey) Law 2000. Whilst we do our best to safeguard your personal information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information that you transmit to us.

    Cookies are pieces of information that your web browser transfers to your computer's hard drive for record keeping purposes.
