August 2007 - Aztec Group recruits additional accounting expertise
The Aztec Group is pleased to announce that two further accountants have recently joined the team to support the delivery of the Group's private equity fund administration services. Michael Heaney and Paul Millar have joined the Jersey office to focus on the accounting requirements of a number of private equity funds.
Michael has joined the team as a Senior Financial Reporting Manager. Michael has extensive experience in international accounting, including US GAAP accounting standards. After a numbers of years with Touche Ross & Co (now Deloitte) in Jersey and Papua New Guinea in audit and business services, he was employed by Berkeley Technology Limited in Jersey for 19 years as Senior Accounting Manager. Michael graduated from Newcastle-upon-Tyne Polytechnic with B.Sc. honours in Mathematics.
Paul relocated to Jersey to join the Aztec Group's Jersey office as a Financial Reporting Manager. In June 1999 Paul moved from Scotland to Guernsey where he worked for Aon Insurance Managers, responsible for the administration and accounts preparation for a number of captive insurance companies. Whilst in Guernsey, Paul also worked for the Royal Bank of Canada's Trust department focussing on the preparation of accounts for various trusts and companies. Paul is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and is also an ACCA Certified Accounting Technician (CAT).
Commenting on the appointments, Edward Moore, the Aztec Group's co-founder and managing director, said: "We are pleased to have attracted another two high calibre employees to the Aztec Group team. Both Michael and Paul have extensive accounting experience, supporting our objective to provide the highest level of fund administration services to our clients."
