October 2007 - Aztec Group recruits Financial Reporting Manager
The Aztec Group is pleased to announce Wikus Van Schalkwyk, a qualified accountant, has joined the team as a Financial Reporting Manager. The Company, who moved to new offices at Le Bordage in March this year, has seen impressive growth which has required additional staffing.
Wikus graduated from the University of Port Elizabeth with an honours degree in Accounting and Finance in 2002 before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (South African Institute of Chartered Accountants) with PKF Port Elizabeth in 2005. In September 2005, Wikus moved to Guernsey to join one of the big four accountancy firms, working as an Audit Senior with a diverse portfolio of audit clients, primarily in the financial services sector. Wikus joined Aztec Group's Guernsey office as a Financial Reporting Manager where his focus is on the accounting and financial reporting needs of private equity and real estate funds.
Commenting on the appointment, Guernsey Director, Rob Jones said: "Since opening our doors for business in 2006 the Aztec Group has won some excellent clients in a very competitive market place. Wikus brings high level accounting experience which will be invaluable in providing comprehensive financial reporting services to our new clients and supporting our growth plans going forwards."
