We’re delighted to be celebrating two fantastic successes by Debbie Reeve, a Senior Manager in our Real Assets team in Jersey. Debbie has not only been named in the ICAS Top 100 Young Chartered Accountants list 2019, but has also just qualified as a Chartered Secretary, achieving a rare ‘double chartered’ status!
The ICAS Top 100 Young Chartered Accountants is a prestigious listing by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland, recognising young Chartered Accountants (CAs) worldwide who excel in their fields. Debbie has been recognised under the ‘Talent’ category, having been noted for her achievements in the real assets sector as well as her contribution to mentoring and developing people through her work with our in-house training team, the Aztec Academy, where she co-created real assets specific training. Debbie has also played a key role in helping the wider business deliver on its strategic aims through her involvement in a number of internal working groups from business continuity to onboarding and resourcing.
The winners in each category and the overall ICAS One Young CA 2019 winner will be announced at the awards dinner in London on 11 September.
If that wasn’t enough, Debbie, who qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2014, has also recently completed the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators Chartered Secretaries Qualifying Scheme. Now a Chartered Secretary, Debbie holds a rare ‘double chartered’ status. Being both a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Secretary, will further position Debbie as a hugely talented and valued member of the Real Assets management team.
Commenting on Debbie’s achievements, Paul Conroy, Group Head of Real Assets and Private Debt, congratulated Debbie:
“We are so pleased to see Debbie’s talent and hard work recognised by ICAS. It was also no surprise to see her add Chartered Secretary status to her Chartered Accountancy qualification. Debbie brings extraordinary energy to all areas of study and work, whether it is tackling challenging client requirements or supporting the team and wider group initiatives. We are all really proud of her.”
Gary Millns, Associate Director – Training and Development, commented:
“Debbie’s dedication to continuous professional development is really impressive. Having supported her through her second professional qualification, it’s been wonderful to see her flourish into a technical expert. The fact that she has used her knowledge and skills to help design training courses specifically for our real assets team as well as introductory courses for our trainees is just brilliant.”
