We’ve launched our annual Festival of Training and Performing Arts!

A six-week training, professional development and continued learning initiative in the lead up to our annual team-building day and summer party - AztecFest.

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our annual Festival of Training and Performing Arts – a unique training and professional development initiative, driven by the Aztec Academy, our dedicated in-house training programme.

Unique to the Group, the initiative is designed to encourage continued professional development (CPD), while promoting our values and encouraging team-building across our offices. Each year, the build-up has a theme, and this year we will be raising awareness of our diversity, inclusion and celebrating the Aztec Group values.

Edward Moore, Chief Executive Officer, said:

“With our employees at the heart of everything we do, raising awareness of diversity and inclusion is good business sense, not just for any modern-day business but especially for the people-centric business we aspire to be. We’re using the Festival of Training and Performing Arts and AztecFest to raise awareness of our diversity and inclusion in alternative ways and we’ll be consulting with our employees to ensure we get their suggestions on how we can further improve as a business.”

To launch the festival, we will be promoting ‘16 Personalities’, a character test based on the Myers–Briggs indicator, which assesses individual personality aspects. With over 45 nationalities, working from seven European offices, servicing a broad international client-base, the personality test aims to inspire personal growth and help our employees get a better understanding of each other!

In a true Aztec spirit, we have put 50 multi-jurisdictional teams together, who will go head-to-head in various CPD challenges in the build-up to AztecFest. This proven method of engaging, motivating and unifying our employees will include: TED Talk videos, face-to-face training on emotional intelligence, e-learning on unconscious bias and much more!

In addition to our diversity and inclusion, we’re also promoting what our values mean to our employees in the build-up. Geraldine O’Rourke, our Group Head of Corporate Services and festival sponsor, commented:

The Festival of Training and Performing Arts culminates in AztecFest; our team-building day and summer party, taking place in September! AztecFest will see all our employees come together in Jersey, to compete in various creative tasks, hear from amazing inspirational speakers and, of course, have a huge celebration!
