Head of Application Support / Digital Transformation - Aztec Jersey
Reporting to the Chief Information Officer (CIO)
The purpose of this position is to lead all aspects of the Aztec Group’s IT application support, whilst playing a leading role in the development and implementation of the Group’s digital transformation, cloud first strategy.
Working closely with the Group’s CIO and Head of Infrastructure and Security to transition from a traditional self-hosted environment to enterprise cloud environment. Supporting rapid business growth through the delivery of new technologies and services brought together to create a unique Aztec Group technology platform offering for its staff, clients and investors.
+ Strong application support team leadership, leading a cross jurisdictional team of approximately 20+ people
+ Work with the business to create a clear Aztec Group client and staff user experience (the Aztec Group Platform) through the identification, deployment and support of on-line cloud services and self-service capabilities
+ Build strong collaborative relationships with business partners to deliver technical capabilities against an ever-demanding user and client base
+ Establish a regular product service calendar ensuring that the Group can bring onboard product changes / developments as quickly as possible; focusing on quality and product capabilities, enabling the business to leverage new product capabilities quickly within a commercial framework to a high standard of delivery and support
+ Support the Group’s cloud first strategy; this team will have a leading role to play in the interconnectivity of systems across the Group; to create a leading technical ‘platform’ that sits across its application and service estate, building a unique client and staff user experience
Skills, knowledge, expertise:
+ Previous practical IT application support leadership experience within a financial services business
+ A broad technical understanding of a wide range of applications and technologies, including cloud service providers, experience in the migration of technology services to the cloud would be advantageous
+ Deep understanding of change management principles
+ Experience of agile methodologies / working practices would be advantageous
+ Ability to lead, coach and mentor a team aligning to the Aztec Group values
+ Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, together with the ability to develop good working relationships within the business, IT teams, clients and with other service providers
+ Proven ability to quickly learn new information, processes and procedures
