Senior Fund Accountant – Technical - Aztec Jersey
The purpose of this position is to support the client facing teams with their day to day accounting queries/updates and be the subject matter expert on relevant laws and regulations.
+ Review the quarterly/annual financial statements prepared by the accounting teams to ensure the accuracy, consistency and completeness of the amounts and disclosures
+ Review quarterly/annual financial statements as a part of cold review process to ensure the adherence of standard procedures and processes in financial reporting
+ Monitor technical accounting updates (standards, guidelines etc.), analyse their potential impact on current client structures/ industries and be a subject matter expert on these areas
+ Support the Financial Reporting Manager to respond on any technical accounting queries raised by the accounting teams
+ Act as the first point of contact for FATCA/ CRS, BEPS, Dodd Frank and AIFMD reporting queries raised by the client facing teams
+ Attend client meetings as the subject matter expert on FATCA/CRS, BEPS, Dodd Frank and AIFMD reporting alongside Senior/Financial reporting manager
+ Manage and perform periodic FATCA/CRS and AIFMD reporting for the Group
+ Ensure the adherence of standard procedures and processes under FATCA/CRS, BEPS, Dodd Frank and AIFMD reporting
+ The candidate will be expected to be newly/part qualified with a relevant professional qualification (preferably having commenced ACCA Professional level or ACA Advanced level)
+ Audit background required (preferably Big 4 trained)
+ Sound technical financial services knowledge (to be supported through the Aztec Academy)
