Temporary Systems/Applications Testing Technician - Aztec Southampton

With continued growth across the Aztec Group, our Information Technology teams are expanding to support current and future business needs. We’re after experts in the field to help us deliver high quality, seamless and uninterrupted IT experiences for our employees and clients, across our multiple European jurisdictions.

The purpose of this role is to work as part of the testing support team, delivering systems and user acceptance testing support; testing of IT applications and their components prior to release; testing enhancements, updates and applications currently used by the Group.

Key responsibilities:

+ Work with internal developers and third-party suppliers supporting software acceptance, conducting release and regression testing and overall quality assurance

+ Delivery of components ready for User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including review of software requirements, preparation/review of test cases, execution of tests, reporting of defects and preparation of test reports

+ Assist the UAT process, including design, control and monitor of relevant tests, ensuring that procedures are adhered to and appropriate resourcing identified

+ Work with developers and analysts to understand code changed that will impact change

Skills, knowledge, expertise:

+ Excellent systems testing and user acceptance testing experience

+ Excellent interpersonal skills

+ Excellent communication skills and the ability to extrapolate requirements and deliverables

+ Experience of formal change management process

+ Should be a strong critical thinker, able to analyse releases from a multitude of perspectives

+ Strong documentation skills, including requirements elicitation, specification documentation

+ Experience in programming languages (SQL, SAS,, an advantage

+ Successful candidates will have the requirement to travel to various locations and building relations with colleagues and teams in other Group jurisdictions
