Aztec Group appoints new Director to Luxembourg office

Aztec Group has further strengthened its senior team in Luxembourg with the appointment of James Vella-Bamber as Director.

James, who was previously a Director in the Group’s Jersey office, will be responsible for a number of key client relationships and the development and growth of the company’s debt and real estate offerings in Luxembourg.

A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, James has over 18 years’ experience within financial services across Asia, Europe and Jersey. He joined the Group earlier in 2016 from a major global fund administration and corporate services provider, where he headed up the company’s private equity practice in Jersey.

Commenting on his appointment, James said, “I’m delighted to be joining the Luxembourg office, particularly at a time of such strong growth. In the past nine years the team here has grown to over 120 people, which demonstrates the strength of the business here. I’m very much looking forward to living and working in such a vibrant and flourishing jurisdiction, and to help the business here continue to grow”.

Aztec Group has been providing fund and corporate services from Luxembourg since 2007. The local office now employs over 120 employees, and serves an extensive client base of private equity, debt and real estate fund managers.
