The Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic represents a significant challenge for all, with our industry being no exception. We appreciate this is a testing time for everyone.
As CEO and founder of the Aztec Group, I wanted to take the opportunity to reassure our clients and their advisors that we are taking all the necessary measures to ensure the health and safety of our employees and provide the best possible service to our clients under the circumstances.
The key steps and measures we have taken include:
Proactive response management: Chaired by our COO, we have assembled an incident response management team to steer the Group through this challenging period. The team is meeting on a daily basis and working closely with our Executive Committee and wider leadership team, ensuring the Group’s continued operational resilience and ability to serve our clients.
Containment measures: Several measures are in place to minimise the risk of infection among our employees and visitors to Aztec premises. This includes additional hygiene measures, significant restrictions on business travel, and the cancellation of all Aztec events, networking engagements and other forms of Group gatherings. We are also ensuring that our business and employees strictly adhere to all government measures applicable in the jurisdictions in which we operate.
Activation of our business continuity plan: Our robust business continuity plan enables us to mitigate the impact of office closures or other developments that may affect our ability to serve clients in a normal way. The plan includes, but is not limited to, prioritisation of business-critical teams and individuals, remote working ability, increased IT infrastructure capabilities, and the utmost focus on client data security.
While it is impossible to predict how the situation will develop over the coming weeks and months, we will, of course, continue to monitor the situation and adapt our plans accordingly. What I can say with certainty is that we remain as committed as ever to supporting our clients and their advisors through this difficult period in any way we can.
