On Saturday 25 August, we hosted the Heart of Europe Rugby Festival which brought together, for the first time, the annual ‘Kick Cancer into Touch’ and the International Rugby 10s tournaments.
The International 10s saw teams from all over Europe competing, while Kick Cancer into Touch, a corporate charity tournament, pitted local business teams across Luxembourg against one another. The community event was open to the public and aided the fundraising efforts of Kick Cancer into Touch, which supports local cancer charities and the Rugby Club Luxembourg hardship fund.
In addition to the tournaments, there was a range of family-friendly entertainment for both adults and children to enjoy.
See our highlights from the festival below.
Thanks to everyone’s combined efforts, we managed to raise more than €6,000 for charity!
Huge congratulations go out to the South Wales Wildcats for winning the International 10s, and BBH, who took home the trophy for the Kick Cancer into Touch tournament.
