2018 is a special year for the Aztec Group – we’re celebrating the milestone of ten years in Luxembourg.
What a decade it’s been too. Our office has grown from two to well over 200 people in that time, with the team now supporting over 80 clients and administering over 100 funds and €45 billion in assets. And it’s growth that we’re proud to say has been 100% organic.
We’ve also welcomed new employees of all levels to the Group, from graduates and juniors to experienced directors. There are now an incredible 45 different nationalities represented in the office, with some of our team making a daily commute from France, Germany and even further afield.
As a multi-jurisdictional business focused on giving our employees the chance to experience life in other offices, we’ve also had many of our long-standing employees transfer or second to Luxembourg. Staff mobility is something that we have long encouraged and one of many measures we adopt to support collaboration across the Group and ensure we operate as one unified team.
Ever since the Group’s inception in 2001, we’ve recognised that the value to our clients comes from our employees and the service they deliver, and Luxembourg has been no exception. Attracting and retaining the best and brightest talent has been down to our success in the past and will be equally important in the future.
We’re proud to have an employee retention rate of over 90% which we put down to our investment in our people. Not only do 90% of our client-facing employees currently hold or are training towards a professional qualification, but we provide our people with all the support and guidance they need to achieve their career goals with the Group. In the last round of mid-term promotions alone, we promoted 83 people, which amounts to over 11% of the Group’s entire workforce.
In true Aztec Group fashion, we’re celebrating our anniversary, with a series of initiatives and events to help mark the occasion. From our annual football tournament in May to our inaugural Heart of Europe Rugby Festival in August, we would encourage you to keep an eye out on the events we’ll be hosting – we would love to see you there.
So, that’s 10 years summarised in just a few hundred words. We can’t explain enough the gratitude we have for our employees, our clients, intermediaries and everyone who’s been on this journey with us. Thank you, we couldn’t have done it without you.
