Belinda Ridout,
Associate Director

Private Equity, Guernsey

Belinda leads and oversees the growth of a client relationship team within our private equity department in Guernsey. This includes developing appropriate processes and procedures to enable the improvement of service provision, training team members and managing the onboarding of new clients throughout migrations and new fund launches.

Belinda is also a member of a working group that looks closely at managing multi-jurisdictional teams and relationships, and regularly assists with private equity business development initiatives.

Background and experience

Belinda initially joined our Guernsey offices in October 2009 as Financial Reporting Manager. After playing a significant role in the development of vital product processes and the testing of the Group’s corporate services system, Belinda rose through the ranks, eventually being appointed Associate Director at the beginning of 2016.

Originally from Kent, Belinda moved to Guernsey in 2008 to take up a position at Northern Trust, where she provided accounting and administration services to several large private equity clients. Prior to this, she held a management accounting role at May Gurney Infrastructure Services, where she managed the accounting for all their central services and support functions, reporting directly to the board.

Belinda’s first role after completing her university degree was as an auditor at BDO Stoy Hayward, where she also undertook her accountancy training and qualified as a chartered accountant.

  • Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Certified Accountants (chartered accountant).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy and Law from the University of East Anglia.

Outside of the office

Belinda enjoys nothing more than spending quality time with her husband and children. She also loves seeing new places and makes the effort to travel regularly with her family.
