Background and experience
Geraud joined the Group’s Luxembourg office as a Fund Accountant in 2014. In this role, he was involved in accounting and reporting for various fund structures and SPVs, as well as the oversight of depositary services for a portfolio of different clients.
Transferring to Business Development in 2016, Geraud was seconded to our London office for a 6 months upon joining the team, strengthening his UK network, before returning to Luxembourg to focus his efforts on developing new business among clients and intermediaries in Europe. With specialist knowledge across all major alternative asset classes, Geraud was appointed Senior Business Development Manager in 2020 before becoming an Associate Director in 2023.
Prior to accepting his role within the Group, Geraud worked for Intex Construction, one of Kenya’s largest contractors. There, he was responsible for sustainable development analysis, which involved improving the efficiency of their real estate development and ecolodges to establish more profitable solutions and working to effectively protect wildlife in various conservancies.
Before this, he interned at various different companies including BNY Mellon, Chartered Asset Management and Brussels Airlines. Geraud’s career has seen him work in placements around the globe, such as Brussels, Singapore, Kampala, Nairobi and New York.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Finance and Administration from the University of Wales.
Outside of the office
Geraud has an affinity for sport, and enjoys skiing, golf, tennis and football. He is also a keen traveller, having spent a large portion of 2011 backpacking across southeast Asia learning about and integrating with different cultures. A Belgian citizen, Geraud is also fluent in English, French and has a good grasp of Dutch.
