Background and experience
Hana initially joined the Group in May 2011, spending just under five years heading up one of our administration teams as a Client Relationship Manager. During this time, she worked primarily from our Luxembourg offices, with a one-month secondment in Jersey. Hana combines expertise in both client facing and business enablement roles.
In 2016, Hana accepted a position within our business development team. Appointed to build the Group’s network and profile in Europe and coordinate business development activity for our Luxembourg office, she was promoted to Director in 2020 with a mandate to lead our business development strategy for Europe.
Prior to joining the Group, Hana worked in Brussels for the European Commission in public administration and public affairs. In this role, she dealt with a wide range of administrative, logistical, and organisational assignments, from media monitoring and press releases to the analysis of legislative acts, preparation of briefings and reporting to senior officials with responses to parliamentary questions.
Hana has also spent 10 months working for the University of Cambridge as an International Researcher, and has undertaken a traineeship with a non-governmental organisation in Brussels.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (Class I) in European Affairs from the University of East Anglia, including an Erasmus study at the Universidad de Zaragoza, Spain.
- Master’s Degree in European Affairs from the University of Bonn, Germany.
Outside of the office
Hana likes to stay active, so as well as engaging regularly in sporting activities like hiking, running, skiing and fitness, she also enjoys travelling. While Hana is a native Czech speaker, she is fluent in English and German, and also has a knowledge of Spanish and French.
