Background and experience
Ian joined the Group in 2018, with an overall responsibility for the Group’s operations in Sweden before relocating to Luxembourg in November 2020, bringing with him a wealth of experience in financial services. He spent over 11 years at PwC, where he led audit teams specialising in private equity and financial services. His experience also included providing a range of tax structuring, accounting, and advisory support to a number of leading alternative investment managers based in the Nordics.
Ian’s knowledge and experience of accounting and financial reporting in the Nordic region is extensive, having worked closely with clients under the supervision of the Financial Supervisory Authority and supported a wide range of client reporting requirements in respect of IFRS, Swedish GAAP and other national regulations.
Qualifications
- Authorised Public Accountant.
- Master’s in Business Administration from Stockholm University.
- Degree in Accounting from Birzeit University, Palestine.
Outside of the office
Ian likes to spend his spare time cooking, reading and travelling. Thanks in part to his diverse background of academic experience, Ian is a skilled linguist, and is fluent in Arabic, English and Swedish.
