Liam carries with him an extensive breadth of professional experience to the Group. Having qualified as a chartered accountant with Coopers Lybrand in his home town of Cork in Ireland, Liam took the opportunity to relocate to their Jersey office in 1986 to work in the growing offshore finance industry.
Having previously worked with some of the Directors within the Group, Geraldine O’Rourke and Mark Wanless, Liam was commended as the right individual to oversee the delivery of our tailored outsourcing solutions for debt funds, their holding companies and feeder vehicles. Liam will continue to develop our pioneering processes and systems, enabling the Group to advance and expand our current Debt expertise, all whilst cementing the reputation of the Aztec Group as the bright alternative in Private Debt Fund Services.
A determined quiet character, Liam has a proven track record of working to deliver meticulously high standards. He has experience in delivering tailored and client-centric services to investment funds in different asset classes and a variety of other structures, strategies and jurisdictions. Having successfully led teams and businesses during periods of development and change, Liam will play an influential role in maintaining the Group’s unrivalled accomplishments, as we continue to experience strong organic growth.
Commenting on what led him to become a part of the Aztec Group, Liam remarks, “I was drawn to the Group because of its reputation in the marketplace for its delivery of first class services. Aztec, being owner managed, provides flexibility for internal processes and subsequently to its clients’ needs, a vital element for progression and success. I have worked within bureaucratic environments before, driven by business function rather than client needs, and it is clear to me which is most effective”.
Liam holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University College Cork and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. He is also a member of the Irish Tax Institute.
