Background and experience
Prior to joining the Group in 2016, Liam was Director of Fund Administration at RBC, where he headed up their alternatives division. There, he was responsible for the provision of fiduciary and administration services to a variety of structures, including private equity and real estate funds.
Before this, Liam was a Director of Maples (formerly Maples Finance), a Jersey-based provider of fund and fiduciary services. In this role, he worked on a number of investment funds, securitisations and structured investment transactions.
After working for four years and qualifying as a chartered accountant at Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC) in his hometown of Cork, Ireland, Liam took the opportunity to relocate to their Jersey office and further his career in the growing offshore finance industry. He spent over 14 years with the firm before accepting the role with Maples Finance.
Qualifications
- Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (chartered accountant).
- Member of the Irish Tax Institute.
- Bachelor of Commerce degree from University College Cork.
Outside of the Office
Liam enjoys walking, cycling and generally trying to keep fit as well as spending time with his family.
