Nicola Heffernan,
Associate Director

Nicola leads an administration team providing services to several complex real estate funds and corporate structures, including direct and indirect vehicles, all of which are centred around commercial property investment, covering both direct and indirect vehicles across various real estate asset classes.

As a member of the Group’s Real Assets leadership team, Nicola has responsibility for several key client relationships and supports the continued development and growth of our real assets service offering.

Background and experience

With a career spanning fund services, private client services, and performance and reward management, Nicola has an in-depth understanding of the real estate market and a strong focus on corporate governance. She has managed complex multi-jurisdictional real estate transactions, including acquisitions and disposals, debt restructuring and refinancing, insolvency proceedings, and raising equity for a variety of structures.

Before joining the Group, Nicola led a team of real estate fund administrators at Intertrust for six years. She was previously a Senior Officer at Nedbank Private Wealth, managing a portfolio of private clients and acting as company secretary for numerous client boards. Nicola started her career in performance and reward management, spending eight years with RBC.


  • Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.
  • Estate Practitioner with The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners
  • Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management from Queen Margaret University College, Edinburgh.

Outside of the office

Outside of work, Nicola is a mum to a very active 8-year-old son. At the weekends, when she is not facilitating his hectic social life she likes to spend time socialising with friends and visiting her family in Ireland as often as possible.
