Paul Conroy,
Group Head of AIFM

Paul joined Aztec in 2014 in Jersey and relocated to Luxembourg with his family in 2019. With more than 20 years of private markets experience, he is a senior leader with a wide range of investment management knowledge and relationships.

As Group Head of AIFM, Paul has responsibility for leading the development and delivery of Aztec’s AIFM services.

Background and experience

Prior to joining the Group, Paul spent ten years working at PwC and progressed through the ranks to be an experienced senior manager. While there, he managed a team responsible for the delivery of audit and advisory services to financial institutions, funds and investors. During his time with PwC, Paul gained extensive multi-jurisdictional experience, having worked in their Jersey, London and Melbourne offices.

Paul joined the Group in 2014 as Head of Real Assets in Jersey, with a mandate encompassing day-to-day leadership of our Jersey-based operations, relationship teams and business development activity. His responsibilities included leading teams in the provision of administration, accounting and transfer agency services to a diverse portfolio of real estate and infrastructure clients, ranging from major international asset managers to boutique private equity real estate managers.

From 2018 to 2023, Paul was a member of the Group Executive Board and was responsible for Aztec’s Real Assets business across Europe and USA. During this period, he also represented our Luxembourg office at the Group Executive Board.

Having transitioned to the role of Group Head of AIFM Services, Paul is leading Aztec’s activity in establishing our new AIFM offering. This includes driving the design of our customer led proposition and implementation of our High Touch, High Tech operating model.

Qualifications

– Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
– Degree in Pure and Applied Chemistry from the University of Strathclyde.

Outside of the office

When not travelling to meet clients and colleagues in other locations, Paul enjoys sports, listening to music, travelling, and unwinding with his friends and family.
