Background and experience
Prior to joining the Group, Simon held a 12 year position as a network manager for an offshore datacentre, where he was responsible for providing infrastructure and network services to a wide range of clients.
Wishing to transfer to an in-house role to devote his energy into building and maintaining a sophisticated IT infrastructure for one business, Simon’s transition to the Aztec Group allowed him to lead a team in supporting the business’s technical demands.
Qualifications
- Studying for a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the Open University.
- Cisco certified network professional – routing and switching.
- Cisco certified internetwork expert (written) – routing and switching.
- Cisco certified security professional.
Outside of the office
Outside of the office, Simon enjoys cycling, walking and kayaking.
